Time to get fall food plots planted

I got a couple of my fall food plots mowed this weekend, they were way out of control. The heavy rains we had in our area this summer helped the hot season weeds and grasses to take over. I had clover and alfalfa plots that were under water long enough to drown them out totally, the weather stayed rough long enough that I decided to just put them into green fall plots. The small kill plots I am going to reseed are very isolated and offer very little room for manuvering equipment. I have used a 4 wheeler and a small disc in the past, but it takes so many passes over the ground to turn it properly that it isn't worth it. This year I am going to try a new method, a kubota diesel tractor with a 58" rear tine tiller. This 3 point hitch attached implement will totally turn and aerate the soil in one pass, I can back up to the tightest areas and be totally ready to plant in just one simple time over the ground. I will let you know how much easier the tiller is. I am worried about the turning of the soil, it will probably increase the germination of the weed seeds sitting dormant on the ground. Saturday morning will be the test run so I will keep you posted and show some pictures of how I laid out the plots in relation to my stands.
Winter peas, rape, turnips, tricolate, wheat and rye will be in my fall plots, each of them need 3 weeks to a month of growth before the first frost. I prefer a longer season than 30 days, so I push to get them in by September 1. Season starts September 13 so I am running out of time.
